At the BC Command Convention held in Maple Ridge over the week end of 27/29 April apart from the usual committee reports and Resolutions  to be passed, emphasis was made re admittance to Licensed Club premises.
The Liquor Control Board inspectors are 'doing the rounds' to ensure that the the provisions of the Liquor License Act are being observed, they can appear at any establishment at any time, singly or in the company  of other inspectors and blend into the patrons gathered.
A local Legion was targeted recently and paid the penalty for non compliance.
One unit was hit with multiple infractions ranging from, Members and Guests not Signing In, serving liquor after hours, serving an intoxicated person, and under age patrons on the premises.
Each infraction carries 'X' number of days suspension of the Liquor License and run consecutively.
The Unit in question was hit by a 10 day suspension of their operating license, and it included two weekends. Needless to say should that happen to our unit a 10 day loss of our license would amount to closure and loss of revenue for over two months.
Therefore it is essential that ALL MEMBERS AND GUESTS SIGN IN in the book provided and CARRY, and be prepared to show if requested, their paid up Membership Card, and that all Guests are signed in by a Paid Up Member.
Members who have not paid their dues for the current year will be treated  as Guests and will require a Paid Up member to sign them in.

We ask that all members observe these rulings in good spirit - your continued membership and comfort are important to us - BUT so is our license.
